Beloved,
If you're anything like me, then there are times where it
seems like no matter how positive or progressive your life is, there's always
that "voice" in the recesses of your mind reminding you of your
failures: failed relationships, missed opportunities, failed endeavors, and
unfulfilled dreams.
This "voice" is quick to point out what you don't
have, what you can't do, what you still haven't done, and what you'll never be
able to do. This "voice" never fails to tell you that this person is prettier
(or more handsome)and/or built better than you, has more money or a better job
than you, is more talented or smarter than you, so on and so on...constant
reminders that you're "not good enough".
It's so easy to get lost in the belief of “not being good
enough", especially when you've had this belief since childhood. Sadly,
fear, doubt, shame, and guilt makes many of us hold onto this lie and we never
allow ourselves the opportunity to discover the joy and peace of
self-acceptance.
Beloved, I challenge you today to choose to focus on the
good that's in your life. Choose to focus on your strengths. Choose to work
towards your dreams. I challenge you to choose to believe that not only are you
fearfully and wonderfully made, but that God has also promised to complete the
work He started in you. If God thinks you're good enough, then shouldn't you?
